The recent local wars shows that the confrontation between air strikes and air defense is continuing to intensify, so air defense radars need to improve the abilities of tracking air targets, especially maneuvering targets. An interacting multiple model method for tracking maneuvering targets is designed in this paper. In order to solve the nonlinear problems, the unscented Kalman filter is used to update the state equation and measurement equation. Simulation is designed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. And the results show that the method has good robustness and performances of tracking a maneuvering target by effectively fusing multiple motion models.
