Abstract In this article the authors describe the principles of the potential possibilities and directions of development of innovative systems – V2X (Vehicle to All). They present some examples and the effects of the use of such systems in European countries and in the USA. The authors show also the statistics of road events and/or incidents on which usage of the systems of this type has/can have a positive or even decisive impact. The second part of the article contains the ideas and perspectives of further development of V2X systems in terms of possible use case spectrum of such systems as well as the possible extent and location of use. In this part the authors indicated i.e. few concrete examples of the systems’ (possible) usage for Poland.
