The purpose of the work performed under this contract was to conduct an analytical investigation of advanced flight control systems (AFCS) requirements for light and medium size helicopters and to design a pilot assist system based on the analytical results. The pilot assist system (PAS) design goal was to develop an AFCS that is relatively light and inexpensive and that can be readily installed in a UH-1B. (Author)
