Fort Weaver Road Realignment and Widening, Project No. 760-AB-03-71, S-0760(1)-Tenative (FAS Route 760 Interstate Route H-1 to Vicinity of Pohakupuna Road)
A relocation and widening of existing Fort Weaver Road is proposed for a length of approximately 5.8 miles between Interstate Route H-1 at Kunia Road and existing Fort Weaver Road at the boundary of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration observatory. In 1974 it is expected that traffic on existing Fort Weaver Road will exceed 21,400 vehicles per day. In 1984 the traffic is expected to exceed 27,100 vehicles daily, and in 1994 the anticipated generated traffic is expected to exceed 32,200 vehicles per day. The project area consists of lightly rolling terrain in the vicinity of Honouliuli and changes to flat terrain south of Honouliuli in Ewa Beach. No major adverse effects upon the physical, biological and social environments would result from this project. Between 14 and 82 persons could be displaced, depending upon the alignment selected, but this number could possibly be reduced.
