Three interrelated areas of focus at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in 1995 were: (1) development of advanced space transportation technology that enhances NASA's own programs and makes space more affordable and accessible to U.S. commercial and academic interests; (2) microgravity research to continue to expand our knowledge of how the effects of low gravity can benefit man's search for new and improved materials and processes; and (3) Technology transfer, which provides direct access to NASA's technical expertise in solving all types of problems encountered in commerce, industry, and public and privates research.
