The Improvement of Maryland Route 198, From Interstate 95 to U.S. Route 29, Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, Maryland
Maryland Route 198 between I-95 in Prince George's County and U. S. Route 29 in Montgomery County is proposed to be widened from two lanes to four lanes with a dividing strip between east and west bound traffic. It is proposed to be widened to six lanes in the area of Bond Mill Road and Old Gunpowder Road. There are four alternatives for the project plus the Do Nothing alternative. For all five possible alternatives there are no distinguishable minority groups; non-profit organizations; or recreational, park, historical, nature, religious, educational or industrial land uses that will be adversely affected. For each of the four construction alternatives, 8-12 families and one business will have to be relocated.
