Twenty-four serious case accidents involving various makes of motor vehicles and resulting in occupant deaths were studied by an interdisciplinary team composed of physicians and engineers. Damage to vehicles and injury to occupants are reconstructed from measurements and photographs and from necropsy data. The principal and contributory causes of the accident and injuries are identified where possible. (Author)
