Volume 3 of the Operational Aerodynamic Data Book provides the primary reference work for all Orbiter Vehicle aerodynamic data appropriate to full-scale flight performance, stability, and control analyses. This volume is to be used together with Volume 1, which provides the mission description, geometry, systems descriptions, and the equations for calculation and use of the aerodynamic data presented herein. Volume 3 contains the aerodynamic force and moment coefficients (both static and dynamic), control effectiveness, control surface aerodynamic hinge moments, and aerodynamic data uncertainties. The effects of aeroelastic deformation and reaction control flow field interactions are also provided. Data are provided throughout the entry speed-altitude flight regimes as well as on-orbit, and are predicted on the results of wind tunnel tests of the Orbiter Vehicle, on analytical methods, and on flight data extracted from the Space Transportation System Flight Program.
