The immediate objective of this study was to determine the feasibility for the establishment of a program for training skilled flight and non-flight personnel which are critically needed by the nation's aviation industry. The training program visualized would provide for academic training of both ground support and flight personnel, including a four-year baccalaureate degree in Aeronautical Technology earned in an accredited university, with primary and advanced flight training conducted at an appropriate training base. The Feasibility Study would include an accurate determination of the needs with respect to both types and numbers of personnel to be trained, the establishment of detailed curricula for the various training courses, the selection of the most suitable training base for the flight operations portion of the program, and the development of detailed costs and methods for financing such a program.
