It is a challenging job to study the reentry guidance problem for Common Aero Vehicle (CAV) which is hypersonic reentry weapon platform satisfying both boundary conditions and path constraints. To achieve this goal, an improved algorithm of generating reliable reentry trajectory is proposed in this research. A dynamic adjustment method for attack angle aiming at eliminating the phugoid oscillation phenomenon and the well-known quasi-equilibrium glide condition (QEGC) are adopted to generate longitudinal trajectory. For lateral trajectory, bank angle reversal strategy is proposed to guarantee that the heading error angle is limited within a tolerance range. This algorithm can generate a feasible reentry trajectory in about 4 seconds on a desktop computer, given the entry conditions, values of constraint parameters, and terminal conditions.
