India ranks second when it comes to population and makes it the most dangerous and unsafe place when it comes to driving. Numerous accidents and deaths occur in India due to poor navigation and improper transportation. GPS enabled transportation system has gained a recent advance in securing the transportation system. Numerous applications make use of this GPS services to make our navigation more comfortable and safe. The exact location of a user or a transport is identified using a GPS system and it is the prime responsibility that this information is secured and protected in all the possible ways. In this paper, we have proposed a system of securing the vehicle by using various technologies like GPS and GSM. A proficient model has developed for interfacing all the modules and is at the user side who can track all the information about the vehicle. The proposed model is efficient in tracking the vehicle and is very cost efficient.
