In this paper, the possibilities and limitation (i.e. hygroscopic phenomenon) of using the A/sub 2/MX/sub 4/ crystals as optoelectronic sensors are discussed. The temperature dependences of transmittance coefficient were measured. Possibilities of application of some A/sub 2/MX/sub 4/ crystals as temperature and humidity sensor were analysed.
