A base station for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is disclosed. The base station includes: an enclosure; a slide mechanism that is connected to the enclosure and which is repositionable between a retracted position and an extended position; a cradle that is connected to the slide mechanism and which is configured for docking with the UAV such that the UAV is movable into and out of the enclosure during repositioning of the slide mechanism between the retracted position and the extended position; and a charging hub that is connected to the slide mechanism and which is configured for electrical connection to a power source of the UAV to charge the power source.
L'invention concerne une station de base pour un véhicule aérien sans pilote (UAV). La station de base comprend : une enceinte ; un mécanisme coulissant qui est relié à l'enceinte et qui peut être repositionné entre une position rétractée et une position déployée ; un berceau qui est relié au mécanisme coulissant et qui est configuré pour s'amarrer à l'UAV de telle sorte que l'UAV est mobile dans et hors de l'enceinte pendant le repositionnement du mécanisme coulissant entre la position rétractée et la position déployée ; et un moyeu de charge qui est relié au mécanisme coulissant et qui est configuré pour une connexion électrique à une source d'alimentation de l'UAV pour charger la source d'alimentation.
