A highline carriage capable of moving along a highline from one location to another and connect to, and transport, a load underneath by a vertical line. The carriage has a lower frame, and an upper frame. The upper frame is pivotally connected to the lower frame at a first point and releasably connected to the lower frame at a second point so that the upper frame can swing up and away from the lower frame. At least one pulley is attached to the upper frame to connect the carriage to, and allow it to move along, the highline. A winch is also attached to the upper frame to reel in and out the vertical line, and at least one hydraulic motor, attached to the upper frame, to drive the winch. The at least one hydraulic motor is driven by at least one prime mover mounted to the lower frame.

L'invention concerne un chariot de câble surélevé pouvant se déplacer le long d'un câble surélevé depuis un emplacement jusqu'à un autre et pouvant être relié à, et transporter, une charge située dessous à l'aide d'un câble vertical. Le chariot possède une structure inférieure et une structure supérieure. La structure supérieure est reliée de manière pivotante à la structure inférieure en un premier point et est reliée amovible à la structure inférieure en un second point de façon à ce que la structure supérieure puisse basculer vers le haut et s'éloigner de la structure inférieure. Au moins une poulie est fixée à la structure supérieure pour relier le chariot au câble surélevé et lui permettre de se déplacer le long de celui-ci. Un treuil est également fixé à la structure supérieure pour enrouler et dérouler le câble vertical, et à au moins un moteur hydraulique, fixé à la structure supérieure, pour entraîner le treuil. Ledit moteur hydraulique est entraîné par au moins un moteur d'entraînement monté sur la structure inférieure.
