The present invention relates to a variable flank array sonar system, an underwater vehicle including the same, and a method for operating the underwater vehicle. An embodiment of the present invention provides a variable flank array sonar system for an underwater vehicle, wherein the variable flank array sonar system includes: a variable flank array sonar including a first array support portion which is fixed to a side surface of an underwater vehicle and which includes a plurality of hydrophone arrays, and a second array support portion and a third array support portion which are respectively hinged to opposite ends of the first array support portion to be folded or unfolded and include a plurality of hydrophone arrays; a sonar variable operation unit that changes the variable flank array sonar to a folded state or an unfolded state according to a shape information signal; and a signal processing unit that detects a target by acquiring an underwater acoustic signal from the variable flank array sonar. A high tracking azimuth resolution is secured.

    본 발명은 가변형 선측배열 소나 시스템, 이를 포함하는 수중운동체 및 수중운동체의 동작 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 일 실시예는 수중운동체의 측면에 고정되고, 복수의 하이드로폰 배열을 포함하는 제1 배열 지지부와, 상기 제1 배열 지지부의 양측 단부에 각각 힌지 결합하여 접거나 펼칠 수 있고, 복수의 하이드로폰 배열을 포함하는 제2 배열 지지부 및 제3 배열 지지부를 포함하는 가변형 선측배열 소나, 형상 정보 신호에 따라 상기 가변형 선측배열 소나를 접힘 상태 또는 펼침 상태로 변경하는 소나 가변동작부, 및 상기 가변형 선측배열 소나로부터 수중음향신호를 획득하여 표적을 탐지하는 신호처리부를 포함하는, 수중운동체의 가변형 선측배열 소나 시스템을 제공한다.
