Disclosed are a self-cleaning apparatus and a method for removing a liquid drop using electric resistance heat and mechanical vibration. The self-cleaning apparatus comprises: at least one electrode arranged on a soil material layer; an insulation layer arranged on the electrode; and at least one mechanical vibration unit. Herein, the self-cleaning apparatus applies an electric signal on the electrode to generate electric resistance heat so as to reduce surface tension of the liquid drop. The mechanical vibration unit generates mechanical vibration to remove the liquid drop with reduced surface tension by atomizing the same.

    전기저항열 및 기계적 진동을 이용하여 액적을 제거하는 자가 세정 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 상기 자가 세정 장치는 고체 물질층 위에 배열된 적어도 하나의 전극, 상기 전극 위에 배열된 절연층 및 적어도 하나의 기계 진동부를 포함한다. 여기서, 상기 전극에 전기신호를 인가하여 전기저항열을 발생시켜 액적의 표면장력을 감소시키며, 상기 기계 진동부는 기계적 진동을 발생시켜 상기 표면장력이 감소된 액적을 미립화시켜 제거한다.
