The present invention provides a steering wheel hand detection device installed on a steering wheel having a hub, spokes extending radially from the hub, a rim connected to the hub through spokes, and a steering wheel remote control mounted on the spokes. The present invention comprises: a handoff detection sensor built into the rim of the steering wheel; and a sensor processor configured to process a signal output from the handoff detection sensor and transmit the processed signal to a vehicle controller, wherein the handoff detection sensor is configured to detect a capacitance between a driver's hand and the rim and a change value thereof, and the sensor processor is incorporated in the steering wheel remote control.
본 발명은 허브, 상기 허브로부터 반경방향을 따라 연장된 스포크, 상기 허브에 대해 스포크들을 통해 연결된 림부, 스포크에 장착된 스티어링휠 리모트컨트롤을 가진 스티어링휠에 설치된 스티어링휠 핸드검출장치로서, 상기 스티어링휠의 림부에 내장된 핸드오프검출센서; 및 상기 핸드오프검출센서로부터 출력되는 신호를 처리하고 그 처리된 신호를 차량용 제어기로 전송하도록 구성된 센서처리기;를 포함하고, 상기 핸드오프검출센서는 운전자의 손과 림부 사이의 정전용량 및 그의 변화값을 검출하도록 구성되고, 상기 센서처리기는 상기 스티어링휠 리모트컨트롤에 내장된다.
