Disclosed are a method and apparatus for controlling driving of an autonomous train using a passing back method. According to the present invention, an apparatus for controlling driving of an autonomous train using a passing back method comprises the steps of: detecting a line condition or an obstacle in the front to generate line obstacle information by a train controller of a preceding autonomous train, and transmitting, by using the passing back method, the generated line obstacle information to a first trailing autonomous train trailing along the preceding autonomous train; and controlling driving of the first trailing autonomous train according to the line obstacle information received from the preceding autonomous train, by a train controller of the first trailing autonomous train.

    패싱 백 방식을 이용한 자율주행 열차의 운행 제어 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 패싱 백 방식을 이용한 자율주행 열차의 운행 제어 장치는 선행 자율주행 열차의 열차 제어기가 선로 상태 또는 전방의 장애물을 감지하여 선로 장애물 정보를 생성하고, 생성된 선로 장애물 정보를 선행 자율주행 열차를 따라 후행하는 제1 후행 자율주행 열차로 패싱 백 방식으로 전달하고, 제1 후행 자율주행 열차의 열차 제어기가 선행 자율주행 열차로부터 전달받은 선로 장애물 정보에 따라 제1 후행 자율주행 열차의 열차 운행을 제어하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
