The present relates to a radiant heater for a vehicle, capable of heating by directly emitting radiant heat toward an occupant in the initial stage of starting the vehicle in the winter. The radiant heater includes: a radiant heater to emit the radiant heat by emitting the heat; an insulating material coupled to a rear surface of the radiant heater; a front cover disposed in front of the radiant heater to emit forward the radiant heat emitted from the radiant heater; a back cover coupled to the front cover to support a rear surface of the insulating material; a touch sensing unit connected to the front cover to sense the touch of the body of the human being to the front cover; and a controller coupled to the touch sensing unit and the radiant heater to control the temperature of the radiant heater depending on whether the touch sensing unit senses the touch by the body of the human being. Although the radiant heat is directly emitted toward the occupant to perform heating, there is no risk of burns even if the body of the human touches a cover installed on the front surface of the radiant heater.
본 발명은 동절기 차량의 시동 초기에 탑승자를 향해 복사열을 직접 방출하여 난방을 할 수 있도록 하는 차량용 복사열 히터에 있어서, 열을 발생시켜 복사열을 방출할 수 있는 복사열 히터; 상기 복사열 히터의 후면에 결합된 단열재; 상기 복사열 히터의 전방에 배치되어 복사열 히터에서 방출된 복사열을 전면으로 방출할 수 있도록 형성된 프론트 커버; 상기 프론트 커버와 결합되어 상기 단열재의 후면을 지지하는 백 커버; 상기 프론트 커버에 연결되며, 상기 프론트 커버에 신체의 접촉을 감지하는 터치감지수단; 및 상기 터치감지수단 및 복사열 히터에 연결되어, 상기 터치감지수단에서의 신체 접촉 감지 여부에 따라 복사열 히터의 온도를 제어하는 복사열 히터 제어기; 를 포함하여 이루어져, 탑승자를 향해 복사열을 직접 방출하여 난방을 할 수 있도록 하되 복사열 히터의 전면에 설치된 커버에 신체가 접촉되더라도 화상의 우려가 없는 차량용 복사열 히터에 관한 것이다.
