The present invention relates to a telematics server and a remote diagnosis method for an automobile thereof. The remote diagnosis method for an automobile in the telematics server according to the present invention comprises: a step of receiving an automobile inspection request from a user terminal; a step of transmitting the automobile inspection request to an automobile built-in terminal; a step of receiving a diagnosis result of a controller corresponding to the automobile inspection request from the automobile built-in terminal; a step of generating an analysis result analyzing the diagnosis result and transmitting the analysis result to the user terminal; and a step of requesting the automobile built-in terminal to update with software for updating the controller corresponding to the analysis result. At the time, the automobile built-in terminal updates the software for updating the controller when the automobile is located at a predetermined place or a location range.
본 발명에 따른 텔레매틱스 서버에서의 차량의 원격 진단 방법은 사용자 단말로부터 차량 점검 요청을 수신하는 단계; 상기 차량 점검 요청을 차량 내장 단말기로 전송하는 단계; 상기 차량 점검 요청에 대응하는 제어기의 진단 결과를 상기 차량 내장 단말기로부터 수신하는 단계; 상기 진단 결과를 분석한 분석 결과를 생성하여 상기 사용자 단말로 전송하는 단계 및 상기 차량 내장 단말기로 상기 분석 결과에 대응하는 제어기의 업데이트용 소프트웨어와 함께 업데이트를 요청하는 단계를 포함한다. 이때, 상기 차량 내장 단말기는 상기 차량이 기 설정된 장소 또는 위치 범위에 위치한 경우 상기 제어기의 업데이트용 소프트웨어를 업데이트한다.
