To provide a tire rubber composition that enhances dispersibility of silica and achieves improvement in wet grip performance and fuel economy in a balanced manner.SOLUTION: A tire rubber composition contains, relative to 100 pts.mass of a rubber component, silica with an average primary particle size of 22 nm or less of 60 pts.mass or more, and one or more amphiphilic compounds selected from the group consisting of alkanolamine represented by any of the following formulas (1), (2), and (3), mono-fatty acid (C5-30) glyceryl and alkylene oxide adduct thereof, and fatty acid (C5-30) polyglyceryl of 1-50 pts.mass [where R1 is a C5-30 linear or branched alkyl group; -OA1- and -OA2- independently represent an oxyethylene group or an oxypropylene group; W1 is a C4-30 linear or branched alkylene group; m and n each represent an average degree of polymerization; and m+n is 1-30].SELECTED DRAWING: None
