To provide a rubber composition for a tire in which dispersibility of silica is improved and wet grip performance and low fuel consumption performance and abrasion resistance are improved in a good balance.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition for a tire which comprises: 30 to 120 pts.mass of silica and 1 to 50 pts.mass of one or more phosphoric acid ester compounds selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the following formulas (1) or (2) [wherein, R1 represents a straight chain or branched alkyl group having 3 to 21 carbon atoms; n represents an integer of 1 to 10; m represents 1 or 2; -OA1- represents an oxyethylene group or an oxypropylene group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a straight chain or branched alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms; when m is 1, a plurality of R2 may be the same or may be different; when m is 2, a plurality of R1 may be the same or may be different] based on 100 pts.mass of a rubber component containing an isoprene-based rubber and a styrene-butadiene rubber, wherein the content of the isoprene-based rubber in the rubber component is 80 mass% or less and the content of the styrene-butadiene rubber is 20 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
