To provide a display device and a display method capable of enlarging and clearly displaying a distant target.SOLUTION: The display device comprises: a first photographing device for wide-angle photographing; a second photographing device for moving the photographing range with a narrower viewing angle and a higher resolution than the first photographing device and photographing a second image; a first display unit for displaying a first image photographed by the first photographing device; an input unit for acquiring coordinate information of an enlargement designated position on the first image displayed by the first display unit; and an enlarged image acquisition unit which identifies a linear range in which an enlargement designated position seen from the first photographing device may be included, causes the second photographing device to photograph plural second images while moving the photographing range within the linear range, recognizes a target object existing at an enlargement designated position when a predetermined image area is recognized in the second image, and determines the second image including the target object as an enlarged image of the enlargement designated position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
