To provide an automatic charging system that can suppress a failure in charging a battery.SOLUTION: An automatic charging system 1 comprises: a marker recognition unit 33 that recognizes a charging device 2; a second travel control unit 34 that, when the charger 2 is recognized, controls an autonomous travel robot 3 to travel toward the charging device 2 to a charging position JP where electrode terminals 8 connected with a charger 6 and electrode plates 19 connected with a battery 4 can be connected to each other; and a connection determination unit 41 that, when the autonomous travel robot 3 reaches the charging position JP, determines if the connection of the electrode terminals 8 and the electrode plates 19 has been successful. When the autonomous travel robot 3 reaches the charging position JP, if the connection of the electrode terminals 8 and the electrode plates 19 is determined to have failed, the second travel control unit 34 controls the autonomous travel robot 3 to travel once in a direction separating from the charging device 2 and subsequently travel toward the charging device 2 again to the charging position JP.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】バッテリの充電失敗を抑制することができる自動充電システムを提供する。【解決手段】自動充電システム１は、充電装置２を認識するマーカ認識部３３と、充電装置２が認識されると、充電器６に接続された電極端子８とバッテリ４に接続された電極プレート１９とが接続可能な充電位置ＪＰまで自律走行ロボット３を充電装置２に向かって走行させるように制御する第２走行制御部３４と、自律走行ロボット３が充電位置ＪＰに到達したときに、電極端子８と電極プレート１９との接続が成功したかどうかを判定する接続判定部４１とを備え、第２走行制御部３４は、自律走行ロボット３が充電位置ＪＰに到達したときに、電極端子８と電極プレート１９との接続が失敗したと判定されると、自律走行ロボット３を一旦充電装置２から離れる方向に走行させてから再度充電装置２に向かって充電位置ＪＰまで走行させるように制御する。【選択図】図１
