To provide a remote operation system allowed to detect an abnormality remotely occurring at both remote and moving-body sides during travelling of the moving body.SOLUTION: A remote operation system includes: a remote-side information processing apparatus having a remote-side processor that executes abnormality determining processing to determine whether or not remote operation data is in an abnormal state possibly to affect an operation for operating the moving body, in which the remote-side processor of the remote-side information processing apparatus executes communication-shutoff control processing to shut off communication of amount-of-operation data to be sent to the moving body on the basis of a result of the abnormality determining processing; and a moving body-side information processing apparatus having a moving body-side processor that executes communication-interruption determining processing to determine whether or not the amount-of-operation data is in a communication interrupted state, in which the moving body-side processor of the moving body-side information processing apparatus executes abnormality-dealing processing to perform switchover from a travel mode based on remote operation into a travel mode based on autonomous operation by the moving body on the basis of a result of the communication-interruption determining processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
