To provide an accompanying mobile body capable of supporting a user in acquiring a material by preventing a preparation shortage of a material required in a work.SOLUTION: An accompanying control section 54 performs accompanying control to actuate a travel unit 10 so as to allow a shopping cart 1 to accompany a user U by keeping a separation state from the user U by a designated distance in a designated direction on the basis of a mobile state of the user U recognized by a mobile state recognition section 52. A job information reception section 41 receives an input of job information by the user U. A candidate material recognition section 43 extracts candidate materials to be used in a work based on the job information. A route search section 45 searches a route from a present position of the shopping cart 1 to a display place of a selection material selected from the candidate materials. 【課題】作業に必要な材料の準備不足が生じることを防止して、使用者による材料の取得を支援することができる同行移動体を提供する。【解決手段】同行制御部５４は、移動状況認識部５２により認識された使用者Ｕの移動状況に基づいて、ショッピングカート１が、使用者Ｕから指定方向に指定距離だけ離れた状態を維持して使用者Ｕに同行するように、走行ユニット１０を作動させる同行制御を実行する。ジョブ情報受付部４１は、使用者Ｕによるジョブ情報の入力を受付ける。候補材料認識部４３は、ジョブ情報に基づく作業で使用される候補材料を抽出する。経路探索部４５は、ショッピングカート１の現在位置から、候補材料の中から選択された選択材料の陳列場所までの経路を探索する。案内部４６は、使用者Ｕに経路を案内する。【選択図】図２
