PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue level estimating device capable of estimating a level of fatigue of a driver when a vehicle travels without following a driver's accelerator operation.SOLUTION: A fatigue level estimation ECU 100 estimates an inter-vehicle distance to a preceding vehicle as a peripheral state of the vehicle through a peripheral state estimating unit 130. Further, based on the inter-vehicle distance to the preceding vehicle estimated by the peripheral state estimating unit 130 while the vehicle is traveling according to the driver's accelerator operation, a standard inter-vehicle distance is calculated as an inter-vehicle distance indicating a tendency of the driver's driving operation through a fatigue level estimating unit 140. While the vehicle is traveling without following the driver's accelerator operation, the fatigue level of the driver is estimated through the fatigue level estimating unit 140 on the basis of the fact that as a difference between the inter-vehicle distance to the preceding vehicle and the standard inter-vehicle distance is larger, the fatigue level of the driver tends to become larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】運転者のアクセル操作に従わずに車両が走行するときの運転者の疲労度を推定することのできる疲労度推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】疲労度推定ＥＣＵ１００は、前方車両との車間距離を車両の周辺状態として周辺状態推定部１３０を通じて推定する。また、運転者のアクセル操作に従って車両が走行している間に周辺状態推定部１３０により推定された前方車両との車間距離に基づき、運転者の運転操作の傾向を示す車間距離として標準車間距離を疲労度推定部１４０を通じて算出する。そして、運転者のアクセル操作に従わずに車両が走行している間に、前方車両との車間距離と標準車間距離との差分が大きいほど運転者の疲労度が大きくなる傾向をもって運転者の疲労度を疲労度推定部１４０を通じて推定する。【選択図】図１
