A vehicle seat support assembly comprising a seat frame pedestal (9, see fig. 8) for supporting the seat frame (10); and a base 4 mountable in the vehicle. The base comprising a pedestal mounting means 5 configured to permit the seat frame pedestal to be mounted to the base such that the seat frame can swivel relative to the base. The assembly may comprise a cavity in the base configured to receive a frame swivel mechanism, which may comprise a drivetrain. The swivel mechanism may comprise a pinion gear (17, see fig. 6) and a swivel gear (14) where bearing shafts (25) may be mounted to said swivel gear. The pedestal may be configured to be slidably along the bearing shafts, allowing height adjustment via an air spring or an electric device. The assembly may also comprise a locking pin biased by a biasing member for locking the rotation of the mechanism.
