L'invention concerne un caisson isolant pour une cuve étanche et thermiquement isolante destiné à stocker un liquide mouillant, le caisson isolant comportant au moins un compartiment ; et - une garniture calorifuge pulvérulente disposée dans ledit compartiment, la garniture calorifuge comportant un mélange d'au moins : - x % en masse d'un matériau isolant pulvérulent choisi parmi les silices pyrogénées, les aérogels de silice et les mélanges de ceux-ci, - y % en masse d'une charge granulaire choisie parmi les perlites, les sphères creuses en verre, les granulats de mousse polymère et les mélanges de ceux-ci, avec : x + y ≥ 90 %, x≥ 25 % et y ≥ 1 %.
The invention relates to an insulating box for a fluid-tight and thermally insulated tank intended for storing a wetting liquid such as LNG or LPG, the insulating box comprising at least one compartment; and • - a powder thermal insulation arranged in the compartment, the thermal insulation comprising a mixture of at least: • - x% by weight of a powder insulation material selected from pyrogenic silicas, silica aerogels and mixtures thereof, • - y% by weight of a granular filler selected from perlites, hollow glass spheres, polymeric foam granules and mixtures thereof, with: x + y> 90%, x> 25% and y at least 5%. The insulation is insensitive to irreversible settling after being immersed in the liquid stored in the tank.
