    Un sistema de detección y catálogo de anomalías que comprende: Una sonda (320) portátil que comprende: Una punta (340) de sonda; Una interfaz de usuario; Una interfaz de comunicación; Un controlador (322) de sistema, dicha sonda operable, mediante dicha interfaz de usuario, para transmisión, mediante dicha interfaz de comunicación de un tipo de anomalía seleccionada por un usuario a dicho controlador de sistema, el tipo de anomalía se asocia con una pieza fabricada, en el que la anomalía existe dentro de la pieza fabricada; y Un dispositivo (326) de localización de sonda que se opera para proporcionar a dicho controlador de sistema una localización asociada con dicha punta de sonda que se contactó con la anomalía, y dicho sistema se programa para asociar el tipo de anomalía seleccionada por un usuario con la localización asociada con dicha punta de sonda.

    An anomaly detection and cataloging system is described that includes a handheld probe having a probe tip, a user interface, and a communications interface. The system further includes a system controller and a probe locating device. The probe is operable, via the user interface, for transmitting, via the communications interface, a user selected anomaly type to the system controller, the anomaly type being associated with a manufactured part or airplane on the ground (AOG). The probe locating device is operable to provide to the system controller a location associated with the probe tip, and the system is programmed to associate the user selected anomaly type with the location associated with the probe tip.
