The power transmission ECU 170 controls the AC/DC converter 140 and an inverter 142 to control the output power of the AC/DC converter 140 to the output demand power Pout. This enables the battery 26 to be charged with a charging power approximate to the charge demand power. As a result, this provides power transmitting/receiving so as to charge the battery 26 with an adequate charging power.
