The invention relates to a high-voltage system rapid protection system and method based on a network system, and the method comprises the steps: S1, setting a rapid protection strategy, presetting a closing time threshold value of a main circuit breaker, and setting a protection threshold value through combining the opening and closing states of an isolation switch; s2, main circuit breaker closing signals, local high-voltage isolation switch signals and train adjacent unit high-voltage isolation switch signals are collected and transmitted to an AIDO rapid protection module to serve as rapid protection strategy auxiliary judgment conditions; s3, collecting a high-voltage analog quantity signal; and S4, reading the high-voltage analog quantity signal, comparing the high-voltage analog quantity signal with the rapid protection strategy to obtain a judgment result, and controlling the output of a rapid protection signal. According to the invention, the technical problem in the prior art that the high-voltage system protection needs to be subjected to signal transmission and logic operation of a central control unit, and transmission and operation delay is generated is solved, the rapid protection delay is shortened to be within 20ms, rapid and accurate protection of the network over-current fault of the high-voltage system is realized, and the over-protection risk is avoided.
