The invention discloses a vehicle and a monitoring method thereof. The monitoring method comprises the following steps: acquiring an image acquired from a scene where a vehicle is located; and when it is determined that the first target object stays in the first distance range of the vehicle and the staying duration reaches the first duration, an alarm state of the vehicle is triggered, the first target object can be determined through image recognition, and the first target object has human body features. According to the monitoring method, by determining that the first target object stays for a long time in the closer distance relative to the vehicle and has the human body characteristics, it can be considered that someone stays around the vehicle for a long time, possibly contacts the vehicle and has potential risks on the vehicle, and therefore the alarm state is triggered, further monitoring is facilitated, and the number of times of alarm leakage is reduced.
