The embodiment of the invention discloses an image generation module, a control method thereof and a vehicle-mounted visual auxiliary system. The image generation module is applied to the vehicle-mounted visual auxiliary system and comprises a light source assembly, a dodging element, a field lens group, a first reflecting element, a light modulation unit, a projection lens and a photoelectric sensor, the light source assembly comprises a light source; the dodging element is arranged on a light emitting path of the light source assembly; the field lens group is arranged on a light emitting path of the dodging element; the first reflecting element is arranged in the field lens group; the light modulation unit is arranged on a light outgoing path of the field lens group, and a second reflection element is arranged between the light outgoing side of the field lens group and the light incoming side of the light modulation unit; the projection lens is arranged on a light emitting path of the light modulation unit; the photoelectric sensor is arranged between the light source and the light modulation unit, and the photoelectric sensor can detect the brightness of light emitted by the light source.
