The invention discloses a low-power traction power system which comprises a lift car assembly connected with a stowage counterweight housing through a counterweight plate strip, and further comprises a low-tension operation control cable and a machine room arranged at the top of an elevator shaft, a low-power traction power mechanism is arranged in the machine room and is linked with the low-tension operation control cable, and the low-tension operation control cable is connected with the lift car assembly. And the small-tension operation control cable is connected with the lift car assembly. According to the small-power traction power system, the needed traction force is small, the size of the whole power system is smaller, energy consumption is lower, meanwhile, vibration and noise of the lift car are reduced, and the mass of a counterweight system is reduced.
