The invention relates to a control method for driving a series mode of a hybrid vehicle. In addition to a first series mode, either the first series mode or the second series mode can be selected according to charging power of power and an energy storage device requested by a driver by implementing the second series mode, the method is applicable to a four-wheel drive power system of a hybrid vehicle, and charging efficiency can be further improved. The hybrid vehicle includes a first series mode in which the vehicle travels by a first electric machine, a second series mode in which the vehicle travels by a second electric machine for driving rear wheels employed by a four-wheel drive powertrain of the hybrid vehicle, and an energy storage device is charged by a power generation operation of a first electric machine connected to an engine via an engine clutch, and a first series mode in which the vehicle travels by a second electric machine for driving rear wheels employed by a four-wheel drive powertrain of the hybrid vehicle. The vehicle travels by a first electric machine, and the energy storage device is charged by a power generation operation of a third electric machine directly connected to the engine.
