The invention discloses a cooling system for a locomotive or a motor train unit. The cooling system comprises a radiator assembly, a fan box body, a fan set, a load-bearing mounting framework, a cooling liquid pipeline and a pump, the pump is connected with the radiator assembly through a cooling liquid pipeline. The bearing mounting framework comprises a first-stage framework, a second-stage framework and a damping assembly; the fan box body and the fan unit are rigidly connected with the first-stage framework; the radiator assembly is rigidly connected with the second-stage framework; the first-level framework and the second-level framework are elastically connected through the damping assembly. According to the cooling system of the locomotive or the motor train unit, due to the fact that the bearing installation framework is arranged, a two-stage installation damping structure of the cooling system is achieved, transmission of fan vibration is effectively absorbed and restrained, structural noise of the cooling system is greatly reduced, and the comfort level of passengers is improved; meanwhile, the possibility of mutual scraping and collision caused by asynchronous vibration of the fan and the fan box body is avoided; and the fan box body does not bear the weight of the fan set, so that the stress of the box body is reduced, the cracking risk of the box body is reduced, and the reliability is improved.
