Abstract

The invention discloses a steering mechanism of a crawler-type harvester in hills and mountains and a control method of the steering mechanism. The steering mechanism comprises a steering rack, a steering gear motor, a worm and gear transmission mechanism, a cross beam assembly, a left steering adjusting assembly, a right steering adjusting assembly and an electric control system. Through the steering rack, the worm and gear transmission mechanism, the cross beam assembly, the left steering adjusting assembly and the right steering adjusting assembly, drive-by-wire steering control of the crawler-type harvesting machine is achieved; meanwhile, a steering mechanism control system composed of a gyroscope sensor, an angle sensor, a steering angle sensor, a steering controller, a steering gear motor and a brushless motor is designed, a steer-by-wire control strategy and a steering control method are provided, and high-precision and fast-response steer-by-wire of the crawler-type harvester in the hilly and mountainous regions is achieved.
