The invention relates to a chimney type spiral ladder stand mounting device and method.The method comprises the steps that materials needed for building a ladder stand are calculated, blanked and cut, the cut materials are subjected to hot-dip galvanizing anti-corrosion treatment, a construction scheme is drawn up, and a suspension mechanism, a safety rope and a basket type workbench are built on the top of a building; the chimney is divided into a plurality of vertical faces in the circumferential direction, the ladder stand is welded from bottom to top by taking the basket type workbench from one vertical face, the suspension mechanism is rotated to the other vertical face after welding is completed till welding of all the vertical faces is completed, and painting and anti-corrosion treatment are conducted on the welding positions. The hanging mechanism is built on the top of a building, the basket type workbench is hung on the hanging mechanism through the inhaul cable, then construction is conducted upwards from the bottom of the building along the same vertical face, painting anti-corrosion treatment is conducted on the welding position after overall installation is completed, and the workbench can be moved through the hanging mechanism; and the construction site safety requirement is met.
