The invention is suitable for the technical field of self-moving equipment, and provides a height adjusting method, a height adjusting device, self-moving equipment and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining an initial angle between a swing arm and a vertical direction; obtaining topographic features of the self-moving equipment in the advancing direction; determining a target height of the operation device according to the topographic features; calculating a target angle between the swing arm and the vertical direction according to the target height; calculating a rotation angle according to the target angle and the initial angle; and driving the swing arm to rotate by the rotation angle through the driving shaft so as to adjust the operation device to the target height. According to the embodiment of the invention, the working state of the self-moving equipment can be adjusted according to the topographic features in the advancing direction of the self-moving equipment, the possibility of loss of the self-moving equipment is reduced, and the working effect of the self-moving equipment is ensured.
