The invention discloses a four-direction waist support driven by inhaul cable traction. The support comprises a supporting assembly located in a backrest frame body, the upper end of the supporting assembly is in running fit with the backrest frame body, and the supporting assembly comprises a supporting body and a Z-direction driving mechanism for driving the supporting body to move in the height direction of the backrest frame body; the waist support also comprises an X-direction driving mechanism which comprises an inhaul cable and an inhaul cable motor for controlling the inhaul cable to move, wherein the inhaul cable is supported at the lower end of the rear side of the supporting assembly, and the inhaul cable motor can work to drive the supporting assembly to move in the thickness direction of the backrest frame body; and the waist support also comprises a first tension spring and a second tension spring which are connected to the two ends of the backrest frame body respectively, and the ends, away from the backrest frame body, of the first tension spring and the second tension spring are connected to the inhaul cable. The waist support has the advantages that the supporting assembly can adaptively float along with thrust or self weight of the back of the human body, elastic support is formed, and compared with a traditional waist support, the comfort is better.
