The invention relates to a method for assisting a motor vehicle while driving the motor vehicle in an infrastructure in an at least partially automated manner. The method comprises the following steps of receiving a region signal which represents a first region of the infrastructure sensed by means of an environment sensor; for a motor vehicle approaching the first region in an at least partially automated manner, determining, on the basis of the region signal, whether there is no possible collision object for the motor vehicle at a predicted arrival time of the motor vehicle at the first or second region in the second region, wherein the second region is a partial region of the first region or is the first region; and under the condition that the second region is not a possible collision object for the motor vehicle at a predicted arrival time, outputting release signal for sending a communication message to the motor vehicle via the communication network, such that the second region does not have a possible collision object for the motor vehicle at the predicted time of arrival.
