The invention belongs to the technical field of electric power installation, and provides a device for overturning a GIL in a vertical shaft. The device for overturning the GIL in the vertical shaft comprises an overturning trolley, wherein the overturning trolley comprises wheels, a bottom frame located above the wheels, and two side walls extending upwards from the bottom frame; a hoop is arranged between the upper surfaces of the two side walls, and the two ends of the hoop are connected with through holes in the two side walls through rotating shafts separately; the rotating shafts at the two ends of the hoop can rotate around the through holes separately; the hoop comprises a plurality of circular rings which are connected through a locking component, the locking component can adjust the GIL in the hoop to be in a locked state or a loosened state, and the GIL in the hoop can rotate around the rotating shafts at the two ends of the hoop. Therefore, through the special overturning device in the GIL vertical shaft, the GIL can be overturned in the vertical shaft conveniently, the safety and high efficiency of a GIL bus in a process of passing through the vertical shaft are ensured, safety accidents are avoided, and the labor and time costs are saved.
