The invention relates to a parking garage parking space detection strategy based on event triggering. A track for setting a position identifier is included; a track moving device is arranged on the track, a first camera and a second camera are arranged on the two sides of the track moving device to point parking spaces on the two sides of a parking space aisle respectively, a fisheye camera is arranged below, and a position identification reading device and a first wireless communication module are further arranged. A management server is further included, and a second wireless communication module is set to establish data connection with the first wireless communication module. The event triggering type parking space detection strategy comprises the following steps that S1, the track moving device stays in the middle of the parking space aisle, and the fisheye camera detects whether a motion area exists or not; S2, the rail moving device moves towards the direction of the motion areaand stops at each position of the position identification; S3, the first camera and the second camera collect images of the parking space at the current position and send the images and the position information to the management server; and S4, the management server extracts a license plate and stores the license plate and a parking space number.
