The invention provides a traffic information processing method. The method includes the following steps that: a DAG is configured according to causal relationships between traffic information; corresponding confidence of the traffic information related to current traffic is obtained; the confidence of the traffic information is utilized to assign corresponding nodes in the configured DAG, and a corresponding value of the DAG is calculated and is adopted as the probability of current traffic congestion; and the probability of traffic congestion in a second preset time after the current time is determined according to the probability of the current traffic congestion and the recorded probability of traffic congestion in a first preset time before the current time. Based on the same inventive concept, the invention also provides a traffic information processing device. With the traffic information processing device adopted, the condition of traffic congestion at a certain period in the future can be determined quickly and accurately.
