The invention relates to the field of automobile electronics, and discloses a device for realizing automatic volume adjustment based on vehicle speed pulse detection. The device comprises a zero-crossing comparator unit, a frequency/voltage converter unit, a constant-value voltage comparator unit and an analog switch unit. The invention further discloses a method for realizing automatic volume adjustment based on vehicle speed pulse detection. The method comprises the following steps: A, converting an input mileage pulse signal W1 into a square wave signal W2 of the same frequency, and outputting the square wave signal W2; B, converting the input square wave signal W2 into a linear direct-current voltage U1 of which the voltage value is in direct proportion to the frequency value; C, comparing the input linear direct-current voltage U1 with a constant-value voltage Uc and outputting a switch control signal; and D, executing a switch channel switching action. An automatic volume adjusting function is realized on the basis of a pure hardware circuit, and danger due to manual volume adjustment during high-speed driving is avoided.
