Aviation and missile designers have become aware of critical importance of air density as it is one of most important factors governing passage of high velocity bodies through atmosphere; thrust, dynamic pressure, aerodynamic drag, vibration, structural and guidance limitations, and heating during re-entry phase are factors limiting vehicle performance which are directly related to air density; pole-to-pole study of density deviations near 80th meridian west is presented from surface to 31 km altitude.
